Defined as cost
budgets at the activity level for the sole purpose of creating accurate
Pro Forma Budgets at the beginning of a Project.
Each plan in the
data library will have a template budget for all of the base activities
and option activities associated to the plan, regardless of whether the
activity is a turnkey or unit-of-measure. Each unit-of-measure and measurement
activity will have a template budget field in the data library; that value
is the unit cost for that activity. Attaching activities to a plan creates
the Template Budget for that Plan in the Data Library.
The template budget
for each unit-of-measure activity will multiply the activity budget value
by the quantity the activity is on the plan to get the total template
budget for those activities. For turnkey activities, the cost budget will
be stored on the plan activity relationship in the data library. In both
cases the user can manually enter the value or can elect to have the
primary contract update the cost automatically based on a company setting.
Base Activity budgets
display both turnkey and unit-of-measure activities. The template amounts
are edited only on Turnkey activities. The
unit-of-measure activities multiple the template budget amount times the
quantity specified in the plan definition.
Select the Plan Name
Enter the Revised Template budget in the text
box
As desired, select the Choose plan checkbox to
apply the template budget for the turnkey activity to other plans in the
project.
Option Activity budgets
display both turnkey and unit-of-measure activities. The template budget
amounts are edited only on Turnkey activities. The
unit-of-measure activities multiple the template budget amount times the
quantity specified in the plan option definition.

As desired, select the Choose plan checkbox to
apply the template budget for the turnkey activity to other plans in the
project.
DL > Template Budgets > Update with Pro Forma Budgets
Notes
This function will
update the current template budgets with the current proforma budgets
for all plans, including base activities and option activities associated
with the selected project.
Click the Update
with Pro Forma Budgets link
Select the project
to update the Template Budget with.
Select the Copy
button to update the template budget.
