Description

If the customer or builder for whatever reason changes their mind after the POs have been generated you have the ability to terminate the NSO within BT. When terminating NSOs, the user is presented with the opportunity to void open purchase orders at the point of accepting the NSO termination. The process to manage approved purchase orders when making the termination decision must be managed off-line.

Notes

When an NSO is Terminated, the current budget can be updated to reflect the change:

The user must select PO's to void during the NSO termination process to update the budget.
If PO's are not selected to void, the current budget will not update with terminated NSO costs.

The ability to request and approve terminations is permission based on the following permissions:

Request Termination - allows the user to request that the NSO be terminated
Approve Termination - allows the user to approve or reject NSO termination requests

Terminating an NSO is available once the buyer accepts the NSO.

Steps

Select the Terminate link.
Use the text field to enter the Comments.
Select the Save button to submit the termination request or select the Cancel button to return to the NSO without requesting termination.

Steps

Select the Decision link. The terminated screen displays the open and approved purchase orders existing for the NSO, and provides the option to void open purchases orders when terminating the NSO.
Void open purchase orders if applicable.
Use the text field to enter the Comments.
Choose one of the following actions:

Select the Approve Termination button to terminate the NSO.
Select the Reject Termination button to reject the termination request and leave the NSO in place as it existed prior to the termination request.
Select the Cancel button to return to the NSO without requesting termination.
