Manage Schedule Option Lockouts

Description

By using schedule option lockouts the user can prevent the customer from selecting options after construction has proceeded too far to easily add the option. A locked-out option (or locked out category of options) is unavailable to select beyond the assigned phase in the schedule. (Locked out options display in the Sales Rep workup screens, but are not available to edit.)

Data Library > Schedules > Option Lockout Status (edit)

  1. Select the Edit link from the Option Lockout Status column.
  2. To define Option Category level lockouts for each Option Category:
    1. Select the schedule phase from the Lockout Phase pull-down menu.
    2. Select Start or End radio button to define the Lockout Point.

      NOTE: This selection indicates whether the option category selections are locked at the beginning of the first task in the phase, or the completion of the last task in the selected phase.
  3. To define Individual Option Codes lockouts for the appropriate Option Category:

    NOTE: Save changes before continuing to option codes for a category.  Proceeding to the Individual Option Codes screen without saving changes will discard any unsaved Option Category lockouts.
    1. Select the Edit link.
    2. Follow steps 2a - 2b to define the lockout for each option code within the category.
    3. Select the Save button to save the lockout changes, or, as appropriate, select the Cancel button to discard the changes.
  4. Select the Save button to save the lockout changes, or, as appropriate, select the Cancel button to discard the changes.

  1. Select the Print Version link.  The Option Lockout Report PDF opens in a new window.
