Document Management

Description

All documents are centrally managed from the Document Management module.  Once in the document management module the user can switch between the projects they are associated with.  The actions that can be performed on the documents are dependent on the user's document permissions, which are assigned in Admin > Company Setup.

Depending on builder-specific practices, processing documents may involve:

• Document Management Quick Start - Includes establishing settings, setting up folders and permissions types.
• Document Creation- Includes how to add documents and compose email templates.
• Manage Documents- Includes the tasks involved in updating and modifying any documents, as well as deleting documents.

Notes

• Associating Documents - Once a document is added to the application it can be associated to multiple entities without needing to upload the document multiple times.  For example, if all of the lots in a project need a specific document associated to them, the user can upload the document to one lot and then associate the document to each of the other lots in the projects.

• Documents are accessible to trade partners based on settings established by the company in several places.
• Learn how documents flow to entities within BT.
