Manage Original / Current Budgets

Description

Original / Current Budgets provide comparison of committed costs to original budgeted costs and authorized additions by change orders or NSOs.

Budget updates - Ideally the original budget never changes throughout the life of a lot in order to provide visibility of margin performance / degradation that takes place during the construction  period.

For analysis beyond original and current budgets, select any of the various job cost reports in Reports > Reports > Purchasing.

Notes

• Change Orders
• When a CO is accepted and the activity list is updated, the current budget is updated to reflect the change.
• NSOs
• When an NSO is released the current budget is updated to reflect the change.
• When an NSO is Terminated, the current budget can  be updated to reflect the change:
• The user must select PO's to void during the NSO termination process to update the budget.
• If PO's are not selected to void, the current budget will not update with terminated NSO costs.
