Bid Management
Revised October 24, 2008
Description
Allows the user to manage
bid invitations, as well as received bids, with online and off-line trade
partners.
Notes
- Manual bids are created
by adding a bid, then editing that bid. Manual
bids can be created for online and off-line trade partners.
- Draw structures are
stored at the Data Library. Percentages for these draws can be modified
at the plan level.
- There are two types
of bids:
- Turnkey Bids. Turnkey
bids are used for any lump sum activity associated to a specific plan
in a specific project (e.g. drywall, plumbing, electrical).
- Unit-of-Measure Bids.
- Will request the
trade partners to provide the cost information for each of the activities
at the unit-of-measure level (i.e. square feet, cubic yards, each, etc).
- Can be bid across
multiple projects.
- Are plan independent.
- Create an individual
contract in each associated project.
- Will maintain a
continuous bid history that is used to create contracts with trade partners
at either a company and/or project level.
