Description

The Schedule Template Detail screen allows the user to edit and manage a specific schedule template by modifying phases and/or tasks.

Data Library > Schedules > Manage Tasks> Hide Details or Show Details

 

Steps

  1. To hide the tasks contained within the Phase, select the Hide Details button. All tasks in the Phase are hidden.
  2. To show the tasks contained within the Phase, select the Show Details button. All tasks in the Phase are displayed.

Notes

The Relative Start days are relative to the start date (day 1) for the lot , e.g. Receive Permits is on Day 1 or Hang Drywall is on Day 56 of a 90 day schedule.

 

Steps

  1. Use the text field to enter the Phase or Task Name.
  2. Enter in the duration of the phase or task, how long the task will take. A phase's duration will be updated to reflect the sum of all tasks within the phase. Since a phase does not have to have any tasks within it, you are required to enter in a duration when adding a new phase.
  3. For a new task, select the Phase from the pull-down menu.
  4. As appropriate, select the Trade from the pull-down menu. You only need to enter Trade here if you are not doing Task - Activity Relationships.
  5. Use the text field to enter the Notification Time. The default Notification time is 7 days. This means that the on-line trade partner will receive notification if the task changes within 7 days of the scheduled start date.
  6. Use the text field to enter the Relative Start Day or as appropriate, select the Predecessors from the Edit Predecessors hyperlink.  Simply select the task(s) or phase(s) that must be completed prior to this phase or task starting and select Done.
  7. Enter the Lag Time
  8. Select the Save button.

Navigation Path

Data Library > Schedules > Manage Tasks > Edit for Task or Phase

Steps

  1. Use the text fields and drop downs to modify any of the fields.
  2. Select the Save button to save the changes, or, as appropriate, select the Cancel button to discard the changes. Select the Delete button to remove the task or phase from the template.

Delete a Task or Phase

  1. Select the Delete link for the task or phase.

 

Reorder Tasks

Data Library > Schedules > Manage Tasks > Reorder Tasks

Note

Reordering tasks changes the display of where the tasks appears but it does not effect how the schedule runs. Reordering tasks is mainly used to reorder tasks that happen on the same day.

Steps

  1. Select the task or phase and drag it to the new location within the schedule. Tasks can only be re-ordered within their phase. To change the phase of a task, select Save Current Order or Cancel and select Edit for the task.
  2. To complete the reorder select one of the following;
    1. Select Save Current Order to save and return to the schedule
    2. Select Reorder by Start Date to reset the schedule
    3. Select Cancel to not save anything and return to the schedule

     

Add/Edit Checklist

Data Library > Schedules > Manage Tasks

Steps - Add Item(s)

  1. Select Checklist for any given task
  2. Select Add Checklist Item to add an item. You can select this button multiple times prior to entering the in the item description.
  3. Enter in the checklist item description
  4. You can reorder the items by holding the right mouse button down and dragging the entire line.
  5. Select the Save or Cancel button to continue.

Steps - Edit Item(s)

  1. Select the Checklist icon for any given task
  2. Modify the checklist item description as necessary
  3. You can reorder the items by holding the right mouse button down and dragging the entire line.
  4. To delete an item select the corresponding checkbox in the delete column.
  5. Select the Save or Cancel button to continue.
